Your privacy matters to us

This is a translation of the Dutch privacy statement. In the event of any difference between the two versions, the Dutch text is the version that applies.

Usage data

We collect information about the visitors of our website and about how those visitors reached our website, how they use the services and features offered on it, which actions they carry out on our website and at which times they do so.

Device information

We collect information about the device you use to access our website or the portal, including the type of device, the operating system, the IP address and other unique device identifiers and diagnostic data.

Contact information

We collect the contact information you provide, such as your name, email address or telephone number, so that we can respond to a contact request you submitted through the website.

Account information

When you create an account we collect information such as your name, telephone number, email address, address details, company information (such as Chamber of Commerce and VAT numbers), user name, password, payment details and other information you provide that is needed to give you access to our portal and the services behind it, and to supply and invoice the services and products you request.

With the exception of the usage data and device information described above, we only collect and process personal data that you provide to us. Where this is necessary, we will always ask for your explicit consent to process your personal data.

We use the collected information for the following purposes:

• Supplying the services you requested or purchased through our website or our portal.
• Making our website, our portal and the services offered on them available and keeping them in working order.
• Improving and adjusting our website, our portal and the services offered on them.
• Analysing trends and collecting (demographic) information about our users and the services they request or purchase.
• Gaining insight into usage, evaluating that usage and making the website easier to use.
• Securing the website, the portal and the services, including for the safety of the (personal) data of users.
• Communicating with you about your account and our services.

Our processing of personal data is limited to the personal data that is necessary for the purposes for which it is processed.

Webonic only shares your personal data with third parties that carry out certain services on our behalf, such as hosting or parcel delivery, in so far as this is necessary for your use of our website, our portal and the services offered on them, or if we are legally obliged to do so.

Other than a transfer of information on the basis of a legal obligation, we do not pass your personal data to third parties that have not taken appropriate security measures to protect your personal data and that do not otherwise meet all requirements of the applicable privacy legislation (GDPR).

We require all third parties that process personal data on our instruction to take appropriate security measures to protect your personal data, at least equivalent to the security measures that Webonic takes itself.

We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration or destruction. We do so among other things by applying strict security procedures and access control.

We also use secure connections (SSL), which shield all exchange of information between you and our website, our portal and the services offered on them.

We do not keep the personal data you provide to us longer than is necessary to achieve the purposes named in this privacy statement, on the understanding that we delete personal data in any event within 1 year after obtaining it, unless another reason for further processing in line with the stated purposes has arisen during that retention period.

In that case the personal data is deleted within one year after none of the stated purposes applies to your personal data any longer.

Where we are legally obliged to do so we apply the statutory retention period, but only for the data for which retention for that period is prescribed. Under the applicable (tax) legislation the statutory retention period can be up to 7 years.

What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files that are placed on your device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work more efficiently and to provide information to the owners of the website.

Which cookies do we use?

Strictly necessary cookies: These cookies are essential for our website, our portal and the services offered on them to function. They allow you to navigate the website and the portal and to use their features.

In addition, third parties such as Google use cookies at our request to give us insight into how visitors and users use our website. Among other things we use Google Analytics. To safeguard the privacy of visitors and users as far as possible, we have made several arrangements with Google, such as configuring Google Analytics in a privacy-friendly way, entering into a data processing agreement with Google and masking the last digits of your IP address.

Third party cookies

We have no influence over the use that third parties make of cookies. We therefore refer you to the privacy statements of those third parties for information about how they handle their cookies. Our privacy statement does not apply to third party websites that are connected to our website through links.

How do you manage cookies?

You can manage the use of cookies through the settings of your web browser. You can choose to block all cookies, to allow only certain cookies, or to be warned when a website tries to place a cookie. Please note that blocking cookies can affect the functionality of our website, our portal and the services offered on them.

You have certain rights in relation to your personal data, including the right of access, data portability, rectification, completion, erasure and restriction of processing. If you have created an account, you can in many cases view, correct, complete, restrict or delete your data yourself.

If you have given consent for the processing of your personal data, you can also extend, restrict or withdraw that consent. In certain cases this too can be done through your account.

Webonic will do its utmost to handle all your questions and complaints about the processing of your personal data to your satisfaction. If we nevertheless fail to reach a solution together, you always have the option of submitting a complaint to the privacy supervisory authority, the Dutch Data Protection Authority.

We may change this privacy statement from time to time. The most recent version is always available on our website. We therefore recommend that you consult this privacy statement regularly, so that you are aware of the latest changes.
